Happy New Year Everyone! 2016 was fun, but I am s0 ready for 2017! This year was full of amazing adventures. Moving across the country, starting Life on Waller, and having my handsome little boy! It sure was a good year but I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store!
I have had a great time traveling and seeing family for the holidays and one thing I’ve had access to is my sister’s hair! She let me give her a tiny trim (which was huge win for me!) and give her this amazing undo for her New Years party!
Who doesn’t love a messy up do? And anything braids is always amazing, so I thought but them to gather and create this double fishtail braid messy bun!
Double Fishtail Braid Messy Bun:
First take your crown section of hair and put it in a pony tail then flip it inward.
Then take the next layer and put it in a ponytail on top of the last pony and flip it inwards as well.
Pull apart your flipped ponytails to create a more messy look.
Fishtail down the sides of your head and pull that apart as well. I left her very front bang pieces to frame her face.
Next roll the tails of the ponytails up into a bun and pin it to secure.
Finally one at a time, wrap your fishtail braids over the crease of the roll you just made, pinning them to secure. Make sure to hide the little tails on the fishtail braids.
Pull at any braid or section of hair to create an even messier look and adding volume where you please!

I hope your 2017 will be amazing, I know your hair will be! Yes, I know that was cheesy but I couldn’t resist! Happy braiding! [themify_icon icon=”fa-heart-o” link=”http://www.lifeonwaller.com/about/”] Cassie Jean
